From Vision to Reality

On-site Consultations

Every garden design project starts off with an initial on-site consultation.

David Beasley will visit you in person at your home and walk around your garden spaces and listen to your needs/wants for your outside space and identify any opportunities and potential problems.

During this meeting (which usually lasts for about an hour), David may suggest design ideas you may not have considered, helping you maximise the future potential of your gardens. The main purpose of the meeting is getting to know you, your property, your personal tastes and existing grounds.

After the meeting is over, We will send you a document with a written Design Brief and a quotation of our proposed Design Fee for any future design work needed. If you are unsure if you need a full-blown garden design undertaking and just want verbal advice from a landscape professional then we can just undertake on-site consultations with no future obligations.

The cost of an on-site consultation depends on your distance from our studio, size/complexity of your proposed garden space and your needs.

E.g. for small/medium-sized local gardens our On-site Site Consultation Fees start at £75. 

Garden Design

At David Beasley Garden Design we aim to offer a professional service that is both affordable and offers value for money. We are not about chasing awards or creating show gardens. We want to take your garden design ideas, refine them and see your outside spaces transformed.

Not all projects will need the full-design package with 3D Photo-realistic Renders, artist impressions and planting plans etc. We like to keep our offering to you adaptable and offer these as "optional extras".

The bare minimum a landscape contractor will need to set-out and construct our designs on site is a 2D layout plan and all projects will need one. These would include "Mood Boards" of proposed products, materials and plant palettes, technical annotations and dimensions.

The size of a garden is not necessarily the main criteria when it comes to the Design Fee we would charge as some small courtyard gardens are vary complex technically compared to large open gardens.

Due to all the above factors, the Design Fees we charge can vary massively, but generally fall within the range of between £750 and £2,000.

Landscape Design

At David Beasley Garden Design, we would not normally take on the large-scale commercial Landscape Design projects typically undertaken by Landscape Architects etc.

We like to work with local organisations, charities and busniess owners on small/medium-sized sites that need advice from a landscape professional and drawings prepared for Planning Approval or 3D visuals for Commity Meetings etc.

Our Design Fees for commercial Landscape Design are, therefore, pretty much in line with those for residential Garden Design.
